Help Us to Dream
Your Dreams oh Lord!
Your Dreams oh Lord!
How do we get our faith to outmatch fear? I think that is a very practical question I have been asking the Lord. I can be filled with courage one minute and seconds later fall back into the "lie" called "fear of failure" or "fear of coming doom". One day I admitted this, "I so often feel like I am on the edge of my seat, Lord, waiting for the other foot to drop." Surprisingly, I heard the Lord ask me, "Wanna see the other foot?" I was shocked and yet curious so I said.... "suuurrre????" Then the Lord whispered to my spirit, "close your eyes." There I saw in my mind's eye a puny person. I heard the Lord say, "Here is the first foot." I heard a big stomp and a huge foot is right beside me on the left side and the leg is so big I can't even see the knee. Then I heard him say and "here comes the second foot." Again a big Boom was heard and the next huge foot was on my right side and I was under this huge, giant angel (maybe my guardian angel??). I had to laugh. God was very generously showing me and it seemed as if he was laughing with me silly it is for me to be "on the edge of my seat" about anything. Ah- so I am to fear God and not man or viruses. But I know from studying this love letter called the Bible, that the word for fearing God is different from that fear that means "be afraid." All over that Love Letter we are told "don't be afraid." Respecting God and being awed by Him and His ways to the point that we want to do things His way instead of our own way.

I sent this to my mom August 18th, 2007 and she sent it to her friends. A short time later, she went to be with Jesus. One of those friends, forwarded her copy of this to me the day after my dad's 90th birthday, May 23, 2019 It came from my devotional reading that day in Streams in the Dessert. In July 2019 my dad died. Each time I lose a family member on this side of heaven, a thick fog of grief covers my soul for awhile. I can hardly function at work, my time with the Lord seems fogged over and distant as well. Today I happened providentially upon this forwarded email and realized it is time to simply learn from George Mueller's life of prayer to remove the fog of grief that has filled my mind. It is time to sail on with a clear mind to the destinations of His kingdom advance where-ever it leads me. Thank you Jesus for lifting the fog, I receive it in Jesus name.
"I believe God, that it SHALL be, even as it was told me." Acts 17:25 I went to America some years ago with the captain of a steamer, who was a very devoted Christian. When off the coast of Newfoundland he said to me, "The last time I crossed here, five weeks ago, something happened which revolutionized the whole of my Christian life. We had George Mueller of Bristol on board. I had been on the bridge trwenty-four hours and never left it. George Mueller came to me, and said, "Captain, I have come to tell you that I must be in Quebec Saturday afternoon." "It is impossible," I said. "Very well, if your ship cannot take me, God will find some other way. I have never broken an engagement in 57 years. Let us go down in the chart room and pray. I looked at that man of God, and thought to myself, what lunatic asylum can that man come from? I never heard of such a thing as this. "Mr. Mueller," I said, "do you know how dense the fog is?" "No he replied, "My eye is not on the density of the fog but on the living God, who controls every circumstance of my life." He knelt down and prayed one of the most simplest prayers and when he had finished I was going to pray: but he put his hand on my shoulder, and told me not to pray, "First, you do not believe He will answer; and second I BELIEE HE HAS, and there is no need whatever for you to pray about it." I looked at him, and he said, "Captain, I have know my Lord for fifty-seven years, and there has never been a single day that I have failed to get audience with the King. Get up, Captain and open the door, and you will find the fog gone." I got up, and the fog was indeed gone. On Saturday afternoon, George Mueller was in Quebec for his engagement." ______________________________________ I was rather disappointed with my last web designer and remembered I had this account on Weebly. So while my blogs are sporadic and quite old on this site, I come back with a renewed vision of my call to reach kids in the world with a book I took, well, I am embarrassed to say- over 15 years to get published. You can find it, My Creator Loves Me, now at Ebay for 1/2 the price it sells for on amazon. Yeah- it still seems expensive to me too! Little did I know how costly it is to self publish a fully illustrated book.
If you would like a copy and can't afford the price on on Ebay, send me an email and I will see if we can work out a better deal for you. May God bless this website, use it for His glory and someday connect others who needs these blogs to build their faith for ALL He wants to do through you in His kingdom advance. Meanwhile I consider these blogs my Holy Spirit counseling sessions to get me in better step with heaven and their plans for me. The English version of this book is at the printer. The Spanish translation is getting started, along with the Ukrainian and Russian translations. Feeling most blessed today. As I've prayed for insight into how to multiply the loaves and fish to supply this spiritual food to these precious street kids, I remain uncertain and yet confident that God pays for His calls. One thing I know we must do, retire modestly, in a place where we can live most affordably, so we have more to share with "these kids."
They rise in the darkness as a light for the upright; they are gracious, merciful, and righteous. It is well with those who deal generously and lend, who conduct their affairs with justice. Psalm 112:4-5 "These people without possessions, these strangers, these powerless, these sinners, these followers of Jesus live with Him now also in the renunciation of their own dignity, for they are merciful. As if their own need and lack were not enough, they share in other people’s need, debasement, and guilt. They have an irresistible love for the lowly, the sick, for those who are in misery, for those who are demeaned and abased, for those who suffer injustice and are rejected, for everyone in pain and anxiety. They seek out all those who have fallen into sin and guilt. No need is too great, no sin too dreadful for mercy to reach. The merciful give their own honor to those who have fallen into shame and take that shame unto themselves. They may be found in the company of tax collectors and sinners and willingly bear the shame of their fellowship. Disciples give away anyone’s greatest possession, their own dignity and honor, and show mercy. They know only one dignity and honor, the mercy of their Lord, which is their only source of life." When I think of the saints in the Back to Jerusalem movement, I get a picture of true mercy. Let's pray for the children of those who have forsaken all and left their families for the sake of the gospel and who are living out Bonhoeffer's words every day of their lives. Have you ever felt an urge to pray for the deliverance of children who need freedom and then days or weeks later you hear of children in the news who have been discovered in someone's basement, a new born found in a dumpster, a cult discovered with child brides? When God starts revealing invisible children to you, their physical freedom is only part of their deliverance, their minds and are hearts may be in spiritual and emotional bondage for years to come. If you are called to pray for invisible children, continue to pray long after their physical deliverance, pray until you sense a release from the Lord that they are indeed freed by Jesus. "If the Son shall set you free, you shall be free indeed."
